The "30-Second Bedtime Routine" that helped me go from 259 to 142 pounds

I'm 61 and 5'7. Four years ago, I thought I'd never be able to hike, not in a million years!

The old me @ 259 lbs!

My husband and I had recently moved to San Bernardino.

Now, for anyone who doesn’t know, San Bernardino is a beautiful hilly area in California. There’s lots to do outdoors — hiking, cycling, horse riding, and much more.

But as much as I wanted to take part in those activities...I knew I just wouldn’t be able to.

Because back then I weighed 259. And no matter how much exercise and dieting I did, I could never get that weight to budge. So I’d choose to stay at home, while my family went out and had the time of their lives, enjoying the natural beauty of Yosemite.

I started to fall into a deep depression. I hated myself for being so unfit. I hated that I was missing out on so many precious moments with my husband and my kids. I hated the way I looked (and couldn’t help but feel that my husband hated it too.)

But what could I do?

For 6 months I’d been loyally sticking to the exercise and diet plan prescribed by my doctor, and my weight had hardly changed at all.

I was convinced that nothing would ever work to help me lose weight...

But one sleepless night, I came across a health segment on NBC News…

It talked about a Harvard doctor who dedicated 10 years of his life to finding the real root cause of unexplained weight gain…

And his biggest revelation was that age and genetics did not play a part in why women in their 40s, 50s and 60s don’t lose weight...

Nor was it the amount of carbs or sugar they eat…

Nor was it the amount of exercise they do.

The NBC segment also talked about how a regular husband named Tyler Miller stumbled upon a simple “30-Second Bedtime Routine” that worked quickly to help his wife lose 65 pounds…

Despite being skeptical, my heart told me to go for it and follow the same bedtime routine.

Within 5 months, I went from 259 to 142 pounds!

The new me @ 142 lbs!

And it was far easier than I expected.

I ate all the foods that I love and I've not gained back any of the weight since.

Nowadays, I love what I see in the mirror...

My skin and joints have new elasticity…

My hair is fuller, thicker and shinier than ever before...

My extreme fatigue and stress have disappeared…

And my “zest for life” has come roaring back.

Best of all, I get to enjoy all the outdoors activities with my husband and kids.
